Staff Sgt. Lanilua Pine had been serving a 9 month deployment to Jalalabad, Afganistan that forced her to be away from her family since the beginning of August.
She was granted holiday leave, and was able to arrive back in Junction City just in time to surprise her son Aurthur before he played in his first home basketball game as a freshman.
